We are Cherry - a feminist art collective currently based across the UK and Germany. We celebrate and showcase the work of creative womxn and proud feminists.
How did we get here? Cherry began as a series of events celebrating feminist perspectives and photography based in Falmouth, Cornwall. The first Cherry was organised by students from Falmouth and Exeter University, aiming to showcase work from various creative and academic courses;
writing, photography, history and art in collaboration to celebrate wonderful womxn and feminists. We became the Cherry Galz.
After leaving university we developed Cherry as a versatile online space, providing an interdisciplinary platform for our members to continually share and develop their work. This website acts as an online directory to present the stunning visual and written work of our Cherry team.
At Cherry we aspire for collaboration, we love to learn and climb, love to go with the menstrual flow, love our bodies in all shapes and sizes, practice kindness, love our womxn and feminist Queens and Kings, we always strive to deconstruct hierarchies and challenge the patriarchy.
So - check out our Galz personalised portfolio pages, listen to our radio show, browse a virtual exhibition, read ZEST, rent a book from our Flower Library, subscribe to our newsletter, admire our residencies, educate yourself on our learning page and STAY BITTERSWEET.
